Atlantic Coast Conference foe Boston College scored in five of their six innings at-bat to defeat Siena Baseball 20-4 at the Heights.
Boston College (9-6) scored twice in the first and added seven runs in the second to pull away early. Seven of the nine runs over the first two frames were unearned. Overall, Siena (0-13) committed six miscues leading to 12 of the runs on the afternoon being unearned.
Nick Wang went 4-5 with four runs scored, a pair of home runs, and five RBI to lead the way offensively for the Eagles. Owen DeShazo added three hits and three RBI.
The Saints scored three of their four runs in the sixth, highlighted by RBI hits from
Luke Ulbert and
Joe D'Elia.
Nick Bergamotto led Siena with a pair of hits, highlighted by his team-leading fourth home run of the young season.
The Saints head back south this weekend for their longest road trip of the season. Siena opens a three-game series against Mercer, with doubleheader action beginning Saturday at 1 p.m. in Macon, Georgia.
