HAMDEN, CT – Siena Basketball hits the road to take on current MAAC frontrunner Quinnipiac Sunday at 2 p.m. at M&T Bank Arena.
Â
Siena (4-24, 3-14) wraps weekend action following a tough 70-68 setback vs. Manhattan Friday night at MVP Arena.
Giovanni Emejuru exploded for a career-high 30 points while adding nine rebounds (six offensive), and
Mason Courtney chipped in 10 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.
Â
Meanwhile Quinnipiac (20-8, 12-5) got back on track with an 82-64 rout at Iona Friday night. The Bobcats snapped a four-game losing streak following an 11-1 league start to leapfrog Fairfield back atop the MAAC Standings. The recent Quinnipiac hiccup has left the door wide open for the regular season crown, as six teams still have a shot for at least a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship with just six days remaining.
Â
Quinnipiac prevailed 82-70 in the first meeting between the programs this season on Jan. 19 in Albany behind 26 points from Matt Balanc. Siena leads the all-time series 13-9, including a stellar 6-2 mark in Hamden.
