Atlantic 10 contender Davidson erupted for 19 runs encompassing the second and third innings to complete the weekend sweep of Siena Baseball 21-1 in seven innings.
Davidson (11-12) capitalized on a pair of second inning Siena (1-19) errors to plate 11 runs in the decisive frame, 10 of which were unearned. The Wildcats also added eight hits in the inning while sending 15 total men to the plate to claim a commanding early 11-1 lead.
Davidson put the game firmly away with an eight-run third in which they added five more hits while sending 13 additional hitters to the dish.
The Saints tallied their lone run on a first inning, two-out RBI single from
Nick Bergamotto. Siena totaled three hits on the afternoon.
The Saints have a quick turnaround in a return to midweek action back north on Tuesday when they travel to Fairleigh Dickinson for a 3 p.m. first pitch.
