Siena Men's Tennis got a boost from the back end of its singles lineup, but was unable to find consistent play in doubles and at the top part of its lineup in a 5-2 defeat at Quinnipiac on Saturday in MAAC matches.
Siena (3-12, 0-3 MAAC) received wins from
Dylan Breen at the No. 5 position and No. 6 position
Duarte Melo.
"We started a little flat in doubles," said Siena men's tennis coach
John Chiaramonte.
"This was a quick turnaround from last night. Credit to the guys for fighting in singles and Dylan and Duarte toughing out two wins."
Quinnipiac improved to 9-9 overall and 2-0 in MAAC play.
Next up, the Saints travel to play at Marist next Saturday, April 6 in MAAC play.
