NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Idan Tretout led four players in double figures with 19 points as Iona defeated Siena Basketball 68-54 in the regular season finale at the Hynes Athletics Center.

Michael Eley came off the bench to score 15 points for Siena (4-27, 3-17), which will be the No. 11 seed in the MAAC Tournament and face sixth-seeded Niagara in First Round action Tuesday at 9:45 p.m. at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Jeremiah Quigley tallied 13 points for defending MAAC Champion Iona (15-16, 10-10), which will be the No. 7 seed and take on 10-seed Manhattan in a First Round contest Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

The Gaels never trailed and scored the first eight points before the Saints responded with the ensuing eight. Siena shot 7-10 from inside the arc in the opening half but just 4-16 behind it while trailing 32-26 at the break.

Iona incrementally built their lead in the second half and went on an 11-4 spurt down the stretch to take as much as a 16-point advantage at 60-44 with 6:41 remaining.

Giovanni Emejuru added 11 points for the Saints who shot just 5-24 overall from distance.

Joel Brown and reserve Jean Aranguren chipped in 10 points apiece for the Gaels who grabbed 12 offensive rebounds leading to a 14-1 advantage in second chance points.

Siena will now look to wipe the slate clean and begin the postseason anew as they prepare to face Niagara for the second time in five days, while also looking to avenge last season's MAAC Quarterfinals setback at the hands of the Purple Eagles. The teams split their two meetings this season, with each team winning on the others home court. The Saints prevailed 93-88 in a barnburner Jan. 15 on Monteagle Ridge, while Niagara emerged 66-59 on Thursday night in Albany.
