TROY, NY – Siena Outdoor Track did not have to travel far for its regular season finale on Friday afternoon. The Saints competed at the Capital District Classic on the campus of RPI at Harkness Park in Troy, New York.
Freshman
Collin Brown turned in the fourth-fastest time in program history in the men's steeplechase with a time of 9:30.30. Freshman
Olivia Armenia took second in the women's unseeded 1,500 (4:59.21), while freshman
Colin Brunelle placed fifth in the men's 1,500 (4:04.96). The team also ran several runners in the women's 400, with senior
Jennifer McClintock (59.50) and junior
Keira Flaherty (59.91) taking first and second, respectively for the top two times in program history in the event.
Graduate student
Madeleine Hesler (2:15.32) won the women's 800, while senior
Killian McNamee (1:55.12) finished second on the men's side. The women's seeded 1,500 saw sophomore
Mattingly O'Rourke (4:45.50) finish second, while fifth year
Matthew Laframboise (3:51.83) finished fifth on the men's side.
Siena will head to the MAAC Outdoor Track Championships May 4-5 on the campus of Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
