LOUDONVILLE, NY – The first signing of the
Gerry McNamara Era is now official. Myles Wilmoth, who spent this past season at Hofstra following three years at Butler, becomes the first official addition to the 2024-25 Siena Men's Basketball roster.
Â
"Myles is a talent," said McNamara. "He has great size for his position, and can shoot it from the perimeter. I'm excited for him to show that he's now healthy and ready to impact this program on both ends of the floor. I know how eager he is to get right to work."
Â
A 6-9, 215-pound forward, Wilmoth matriculates to Siena as a graduate student with two years of eligibility remaining. The Empire State native from Chestnut Ridge, New York did not play this past winter during his lone season at Hofstra University while recovering from surgery.
Â
Wilmoth appeared in 59 career games spanning parts of three seasons at Butler University (2020-23), where he averaged 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10.3 minutes of action.
Â
A consensus three-star prospect, Wilmoth totaled 1,140 points and 1,203 rebounds spanning his four-year high school career at St. Andrew's School in Rhode Island (2018-20) and Bergen Catholic in New Jersey (2016-18). The 2019-20 Rhode Island Independent Schools Athlete of the Year, he had his No. 11 jersey retired by St. Andrew's.
Â
Wilmoth was named an All-New England Team selection following his senior season, after averaging 17 points and 11 rebounds while leading St. Andrew's to the New England Prep School Final Four. He averaged 14.3 points and nine rebounds as a junior, earning Rhode Island All-USA Super Team acclaim after posting a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds in the New England Prep School Championship Game.
Â
Wilmoth played his AAU basketball for the Albany City Rocks on the EYBL circuit. Â
