Siena Women's Soccer exploded for three goals in the span of just 7:46 midway through the first half to secure a split of its season-opening four-match road trip with a 3-1 triumph over Le Moyne in Central New York.
Freshman
Catherine Rogers spearheaded the most prolific scoring half in four seasons for Siena (2-2), factoring in on all three scores with a pair of goals and an assist. The three-goal first half matched the Saints highest scoring stanza since erupting for five goals in the first half of the Spring 2021 COVID season-opener vs. Iona on Mar. 25, 2021.

Lily Farrell and sent in reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year
Megan Stowell for her first tally of the young season.
Rogers capped off a brilliant five-point, eight-minute stretch with Stowell returning the favor in the 31
st minute off an indirect free kick inside the six. Rogers has accounted for all four Siena goals so far this season on the strength of three goals and an assist.
Le Moyne (0-4) spoiled the shutout bid in the 85
th minute on a Logan Cookinham marker from Danielle Casey and Kyla Sustad.
The Saints nonetheless controlled the action throughout, registering a 17-5 advantage in shots and a 9-2 margin in corners.
Following its season-opening four-match road trip, Siena is finally set to return to Loudonville for a season-long four-match homestand. The Saints make their 2024 Capital Region debut when they welcome first-time foe in Minnesota school St. Thomas Sunday at 1 p.m. at Hickey Field.
