Siena (7-7, 2-1) has begun this week to bookend the New Year with their highest-rated victory to date Monday at Cornell, followed by a thrilling double overtime triumph Friday night vs. Manhattan. The Saints improved to a perfect 3-0 in overtime contests with the 103-95 victory over the Jaspers, while accumulating the program's highest single-game point total in a quarter century. The 103 points were also the most Siena has scored in a MAAC contest in 27 years, dating back to a 104-92 win over Iona on Feb. 11, 1998.

Speaking of Iona (4-10, 1-2), the Gaels arrive in Albany following a 70-65 setback on their home court to MAAC frontrunner Marist Friday night. Iona ranks amongst the national leaders in offensive rebounding (16.4 – second), turnovers forced (17.0 – 10
th), and steals (10.0 – 17
th).

Siena has faced its archrivals more times (125) than any other opponent, with Iona leading the all-time series, 70-55. The Gaels have won three straight and five of six, with each of their victories coming by 14 points or more. Iona is led by former Siena assistant Tobin Anderson, who served under Mitch Buonaguro from 2011-13.
