Siena Opens Two-Game Home Week Against Perennial Patriot League Power

ALBANY, NY – Siena Basketball returns to the Capital Region to open a two-game home week when the Saints host perennial Patriot League power Colgate Monday night at 7 p.m. at MVP Arena.

Tickets start as low as $15 (service fees apply if purchasing through Ticketmaster) and can be secured by clicking the corresponding link, in-person at the MVP Arena Box Office, or by contacting Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 745-3000. The Siena Fan Relations Management Center is on-hand to handle all ticket-related inquiries, and can be reached by phone at (518) 487-2202 or by e-mail at sienatickets2@siena.edu. Siena (2-1) returns home for the first time in two weeks since its season-opener on Nov. 3 looking to bounce back from its first defeat of the season. The Saints hung tough before ultimately falling to 2025 NIT participant and 22-win program St. Bonaventure 75-66 in the Franciscan Cup last Wednesday. Nonetheless, Siena arrives back at MVP Arena in search of its second straight 3-1 start, a feat last accomplished in back-to-back seasons 22 years ago (2002-03, 2003-04).

Two of the three Colgate (1-3) losses thus far have come in competitive matchups against nationally ranked Big Ten programs in then 22nd ranked Michigan State (80-69 on Nov. 3) and No. 14 Illinois (84-65) on Friday night. The Raiders – who were projected to finish third (10 teams) according to the Patriot League Preseason Poll – have qualified for five of the past seven NCAA Tournaments.

Siena and Colgate meet for the 27th time in a series which dates back to 1951, albeit for just the third time this century and first time in six years. The Saints hold a commanding 19-7 lead in the all-time series, highlighted by a perfect 11-0 mark against the Raiders when the programs were short-lived North Atlantic Conference rivals from 1984-89. Siena has won 10 of its past 14 matchups against Patriot League opponents spanning the past six seasons.

Kelly O'Donnell, former Saint Conner Fenlon '12, and Steve Jones have the call of the game on ESPN+, which can be viewed by clicking the corresponding link. The "Voice of the Saints" Emmanuel Berbari and Joe Lemery will have the radio call of the game locally in the Capital Region on JAMZ 96.3 FM, with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m.
