LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Siena Volleyball is back in the MAAC Postseason for the first time in three seasons with a quarterfinal match up at Rider on Tuesday at 6 p.m. from Alumni Gymnasium.

The match up features two of the most efficient offenses in the MAAC with the Saints (14-18, 9-9 MAAC) ranking second in the conference in hitting percentage (.218) as a team. Their opponents, the Broncs (14-14, 12-6 MAAC) rank third in the category (.200).
"Their resilience and fight for every single point," said first-year Siena head volleyball coach Tyler Kanelos when asked what has been most encouraging about this group.
"We've been in a lot of close matches and found ways to gets win." Extra point. Fifth sets. Things like that so their fight and determination."
The Saints have several conference Top-10 statistical leaders.
Junior right side
Doga Diraz is one of only two players in the MAAC who topped 400 kills this season joining Quinnipiac's Elena Giacomini. Diraz ranks fifth in the conference in kills per set (3.34) and fifth in points per set (3.90).
Freshman
Mary Claire Deacy has been on a tear in the second half of the season, winning a pair of MAAC Rookie of the Week awards.
The Chicago, IL native moved up to sixth in the conference in hitting percentage at .303 and has produced double digit kills in 11 of the previous 16 matches to close the season.
Another player has been steadily made her presence known is senior setter
Alandra Hasbrouck, who has totaled at least 20 assists in seven of the last eight matches.
Sophomore outside hitter
Gabrielle Wire ranks seventh in the MAAC in total kills with 318 and in 10
th in kills per set with 2.77.
Siena leads the all-time series versus Rider 29-22, but the Broncs have had recent success with a current streak of seven consecutive victories dating back to October of 2022.
Rider won each of this year's head-to-head matches 3-1 with the latest coming just four days earlier in Lawrenceville, NJ.
Senior outside hitter Kiannisha Santiago had another huge season for Rider with 396 kills (ranks third in the MAAC) and has produced 3.92 kills per set (second highest mark).
Graduate student Carley McAleavey has proven to be one of the conference's best, ranking third in hitting percentage at .351 with 202 kills against just 54 errors on 422 total attacks.
MaKenna Mason is one of the steadiest facilitators in the conference with 935 assists for a 9.17 assists per set clip.
