LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Basketball Head Coach
Gerry McNamara has announced his third official commitment to the Saints incoming recruiting class. Ryan Moesch, a four-star recruit according to both ESPN and 247 Sports, has committed to play for Siena.
Â
"Ryan is must-see TV with the basketball in his hands," said McNamara. "He has that fast twitch change of pace that you can't teach, but the thing that separates him most is his elite eyesight and the ability to read defenses to control a game. I love that Ryan doesn't care if he has to score to beat you or do it with the pass, just as long as his team wins. We can't wait to get Ryan on campus!"
Â
A 6-1, 170-pound point guard from Chittenango, New York who initially verbally committed to Siena back in September, Moesch is ranked the 137
th best player overall in the Class of 2026 by 247 Sports, including the 14
th ranked point guard, and fourth best player in Massachusetts. He is also ranked the 39
th best point guard nationally, 63
rd best overall player in the East Region, and seventh best overall recruit in Massachusetts by ESPN's SportsCenter NEXT.
Â
Moesch eclipsed 2,000 career high school points as a junior in his first season at Cushing Academy in Massachusetts last winter, while averaging 17 points and six assists to lead the squad to the New England Basketball League Championship and National Prep Championship Semifinals. He averaged over 36 points per game the previous season while playing for his hometown, Chittenango.
Â
Moesch earned Second Team honors on the Under Armour Association circuit after averaging 11.8 points and 4.3 assists while leading the Middlesex Magic to a third-place finish and a top-15 national ranking.
