Francis Folefac swept the Air Force Reserve MAAC Men's Basketball weekly honors this week after each had dazzling performances over a 4-0 week highlighted by a three-game sweep at the Capital Thanksgiving Classic in Washington D.C.
Shoats was named the MAAC Player of the Week after averaging 16.3 points, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and shot 63 percent.
The Saints point guard shot better than 50 percent from the field in all four wins and registered three games with three or more steals in a strong all-around performance.
This marks the second MAAC weekly award for the Wilkes-Barre, PA native.
Folefac was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week after averaging 12.5 points and 5.8 rebounds and shot 64 percent from the field and stuffed the stat sheet, adding 2.0 steals, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 blocks.
Folefac also came through in the clutch all week long, dishing out the assist on the go-ahead basket down the stretch Monday night at Holy Cross, hit three free throws in the final 30 seconds of a seven-point victory vs. Longwood Friday, temporarily gave Siena the lead with 90 seconds remaining in an eventual win Saturday at defending Patriot League Champion American, and sank two clutch free throws with 3.3 seconds left to seal a four-point win over Maine Sunday.
This marks the first MAAC weekly award for the Lanham, MD native.
Siena (7-2) returns to the court this Friday hosting Niagara (2-5) at 7 p.m. in the MAAC Opener at MVP Arena in Albany.
