Saints Look to Keep Rolling Sunday at MVP Arena

Siena Seeks Seventh Straight Win, Sweep of MAAC Opening Weekend

ALBANY, NY – Siena Basketball wraps up the first wave of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play when the Saints host Canisius to the conclude the conference-opening weekend Sunday at 2 p.m.  
 
Tickets start as low as $15 (service fees apply if purchasing through Ticketmaster) and can be secured by clicking the corresponding link, in-person at the MVP Arena Box Office, or by contacting Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 745-3000. This weekend's MAAC homestand features the return of the Catholic Charities Christmas Series. Fans who donate to Catholic Charities at either home game this weekend will receive a specially priced ticket at $12.25 to a future Siena Men's Basketball home game this season.
 
Siena (8-2, 1-0) seeks to continue its torrid stretch and secure its first MAAC weekend sweep since Feb. 10-12, 2023. The Saints are off to the program's best 10-game start in 27 years (9-1 in 1998-99), spearheaded by a three-game win-streak which is the longest in three years.
 
Canisius (4-5, 0-1) arrives in the Capital Region having dropped its league-opener 69-57 at Saint Peter's Friday night. The Golden Griffins feature a pair of former Siena players in their starting lineup in Myles Wilmoth (2024-25) and Michael Evbagharu (2023-24).
 
The Saints and Canisius meet for the 115th time in a series which Siena holds a 59-55 edge. The Golden Griffins, however, have gone 18-8 spanning the past 26 matchups. The Saints are 40-11 (.784) at home vs. Canisius during the Division I era.
 
Robert Lee, Kelly O'Donnell, and Hailey Deptula have the call of the game on ESPN+, which can be viewed by clicking the corresponding link. Joe Puccio and former Saint Andy Grazulis '92 will have the radio call of the game locally in the Capital Region on JAMZ 96.3 FM, with pregame coverage beginning at 1:30 p.m.
