Siena Swimming & Diving clocked four new top ten performance times while improving to third place overall during day two of the ECAC Winter Championships from East Meadow, NY, Saturday.
In the 400 IM,
Julia Mihok (4:46.64),
Emme Starzman (4:47.77), and
Alice Scalmani (4:49.81) finished 12-14 to advance to the "B" final. In the final, Mihok clocked a top ten performance time, taking 11th in 4:42.45.
GayLynn Kirn placed second in the 200 free prelims in 1:53.38 to go to the "A' final.
Natalie Blume (1:58.22),
Clara Samko (1:58.49),
Mea Amedio (1:59.49), and
Skylar Ricard (1:59.68) all went to the "C" final. Kirn went on to take second overall in 1:53.33.
Kirn also qualified for the 100 back "A" final, coming in at 58.75 - a top ten performance time.
Gabrielle Rentosa (59.35) and
Carsyn Ide (59.58) went to the "B" final, while
Mary Ellen Stratman (59.70),
Mea Amedio (1:00.24), and
Abby Clayton (1:00.40) went to the "C" final. Kirn was the top finisher for Siena in the finals, taking seventh in 58.80.
Hope Ivanovich shines in the 100 fly, taking fifth in the prelims in 58.34 to go to the "A" finals.
Carsyn Ide (59.07) and
Clara Samko (59.42) went to the "B" final, while
Camryn Raines (59.96), Sylar Ricard (1:00.89), and
Gabrielle Rentosa (1:01.03) went to the "C" final.
Julia Filiault clocked 1:07.41 in the 100 breast prelims to go to the "B" final along with classmate
Julia Mihok (1:08.22). Fellow freshman
Kayla Lombardo (1:08.82) qualified for the "C" final. Filiault clocked a top ten performance time, taking ninth on the list and 11th in the race in 1:06.61.
In the 3m diving,
Claire Donlon finished sixth, scoring 231.90, while
Sydney Murray scored 165.50 and
Bette Sherr-Garcia 141.75.
The 200 medley relay team on Rentosa, Filiault, Raines, and Samko came in sixth in 1:41.31.
Hope Ivanovich placed third in the 100 fly in 57.31.
Siena finishes the ECAC Winter Championships Sunday with prelims at 9 a.m. and finals at 4 p.m.
