Following a program record and MAAC championship winning mark of 2:01.80 in the 200 fly at the MAAC Championships last month, sophomore
Hope Ivanovich was put on the national stage in the event Saturday morning at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships at the FAST Facility from Ocala, FL.
Competing in the fifth of sixth heats, Ivanovich finished 48th overall after touching the wall in 2:06.99.
Competition gathered from top swimming schools all over the country including Ohio State, Florida, BYU, California, Arkansas, and Duke.
Ivanovich's sophomore season was one for program record books, as she became Siena's first individual MAAC champion in 14 years with a MAAC Championships record time of 54.49 in the 100 fly. She went on to set the program 200 fly record as well with a mark of 2:01.80 en route to capturing the league title in the race.
