LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Basketball junior forward Brendan Coyle has received recognition for his combined successes both on the court and in the classroom. Coyle has been named a 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team selection.

Coyle was one of only 177 Division I men's basketball players nationally and one of just three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference scholars (Jackson Price – Marist, Mouhamed Sow – Saint Peter's) to earn acclaim for the award which recognizes the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Coyle was honored as the Siena College Leo and Jeannine Dufort Male Student Athlete of the Month back in December, when he also earned MAAC Male Student Athlete of the Week honors on Dec. 4. The local product from nearby Niskayuna, New York once again earned MAAC All-Academic Team acclaim earlier this month. Coyle, who possesses a 3.69 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in Finance, was named to the Siena College Dean's List following the conclusion of the most recent 2024 Fall semester.

On the court, Coyle started all 32 games this winter while averaging 12.8 points. The team captain scored in double figures 22 times, highlighted by six 20-plus point performances. Coyle finished with 94 made threes – tied for third most in program single-season history – and currently ranks in the top-50 nationally in both threes per game (2.94 – 42^nd) and three-point field goal percentage (.393).
