LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Women's Basketball head coach
Terry Primm has announced the signings of 11 incoming Saints for the 2025-26 season. The incoming crop consists of seven transfers and four true freshmen looking to help the Green and Gold build off last season's WNIT Postseason berth.
"I am very excited to have each of them join the sisterhood and cannot wait to see how they will impact the program in their own unique ways," said Primm.
Garrisen Freeman | Las Vegas, NV | CSU Bakersfield
Garrisen Freeman joins the Saints following a three-year playing career at CSU Bakersfield, in which she appeared in 75 games with 52 starts. As a redshirt junior last season, the Las Vegas, NV, native set career highs with 5.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game, along with 21 total steals and 11 blocks. In high school, she earned First Team All-Conference honors in each of her four seasons at Spring Valley and helped lead her Grizzlies team to a conference title and a state championship appearance. Freeman also shined on the track, breaking records in the 100m, 200m, and 400m.

Azera Gates | Albany, NY | Albany High School
A local product out of Albany High School,
Azera Gates is a three-time Section II All-Star, as well as a three-time Second Team Suburban All-Star. A First Team Senior All-Star, Gates was also the Albany High School MVP for basketball and flag football, and was named the Outstanding Athlete of the Year.

Caydence Hadley | Rochester, NY | Towson University
The 6'1"
Caydence Hadley makes her way to Loudonville following two seasons at Towson, where the Western New York native appeared in 20 games over two seasons. Prior to her stint with the Tigers, Hadley shined with Bishop Kearney High School, leading her team to wins in both the Class AA Section V title game and New York State Championship game in 2022. Averaging 15.8 points, 13.4 rebounds, 3.4 steals, and 3.3 blocks per game, Hadley was named Second Team All-New York State and First Team League All-Star in 2023 en route to becoming a Basketball Coaches Association of New York champion that same year.
Coach Primm on Hadley: "She brings length and athleticism, complemented by her elite shooting ability. She utilized her first two years to learn the college game and is now ready to flourish in a system tailored to her skills and abilities."
Nicole Melious | Staten Island, NY | Seton Hall
One of the most accomplished high school players in New York City history,
Nicole Melious spent last season at Seton Hall following a 2023-24 season at La Salle in which she garnered Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors. While playing in four games at Seton Hall, Melious averaged 2.3 points and 1.8 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. During her lone season at La Salle, the Staten Island native led the team in scoring with 10.9 points per game, and averaged 2.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 29.2 minutes per contest. She ranked fifth in the Atlantic 10 with 2.4 made three-pointers per game, which also tied for 41st in the country. A decorated player at Susan E. Wagner High School, Melious scored 3,140 points in three seasons and holds the New York City all-time single-season scoring record with 1,137 points while also being the all-time leading scorer in Staten Island among boys and girls.

Dallas Pierce | New Castle, DE | UMass
2023 Delaware Player of the Year and MaxPreps Player of the Year
Dallas Pierce enjoyed a decorated career as a three-year letterwinner at Sanford School before a two-year stint at UMass. As a McDonald's All-American nominee, Pierce was a three-time Delaware All-State Team selection, including twice appearing on the first team. While leading her team to a 2023 Delaware State title, the New Castle, DE, native eclipsed 1,000 points during her career and joined the 50/40/90 club during her junior season in 2021-22.
Coach Primm on Pierce: "She is an elite shooter and a 3-level scorer with playmaking ability for herself and others. She possesses a strong character and toughness that will be well-suited to our program."
Alexis Rosenfeld | Ridgewood, NJ | Manhattan University
No stranger to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference,
Alexis Rosenfeld spent her freshman season at Manhattan. Prior to college, the Ridgewood, NJ, native was a standout at both Saddle River Day School and Morris Catholic High School under Siena Assistant Coach
Billy Lovett. The No. 1 ranked center in New Jersey in 2024, Rosenfeld was voted NJ.com's Senior of the Year and was also named to the All-Morris County Team as a senior. She was also a two-time state champion in high school.
Coach Primm on Rosenfeld: "She has excellent size, mobility, touch around the rim, and perimeter shot-making ability. She is a very competitive young lady with an intense focus on being great."
Kaiya Rain Tucker | Philadelphia, PA | Friends' Central School
A 6-foot forward from Philadelphia, PA,
Kaiya Rain Tucker is a two-time All-Main Line Second Team selection, an All-Main Line Honorable Mention, and has been named Main Line Athlete of the Week. In her junior season, Rain Tucker nearly averaged a double-double per game with 14.6 points and 9.2 rebounds, while also dishing out a pair of assists per contest.
Coach Primm on Rain Tucker: "Kaiya is a physical presence in the paint with good footwork, nice touch around the rim, good passer, rebounder with stretch four ability. She is a tough young lady with a strong character and a personality that everyone loves who knows and spends time with her."
Francesca Schiro | Hillsborough, NJ | Hillsborough High School
A 5-foot-7 point guard hailing from Hillsborough, NJ,
Francesca Schiro reached the 1,000-point mark at Hillsborough High School in just her junior season. In 2024, she was named to the All-Sky Lands First Team, the All-Group 4 First Team, and the New Jersey Basketball Coaches Association All-Team. Over her first three high school seasons, Schiro eclipsed 1,400 points, 445 rebounds, 250 assists, 200 steals, and 60 blocks through 80 games. This past season she also became the first player in her high school's history to surpass 2,000 career points.
Coach Primm on Schiro: "Cesci impressed me with her ability to run a team and make plays for herself and others on all three levels. She has an iron will that allows her to beat quicker and bigger opponents. She is serious about her academics and works tirelessly to become the best she can possibly be on and off the court."
Jamariah Turner | Huntsville, AL | Stillman College
Transferring in from NAIA Stillman College,
Jamariah Turner collected Second Team All-HBCUAC and All-Defensive Team Honorable Mention last season while posting the second most points per game on the team. During her time at Lee High School, the Huntsville, AL, native was her team's Defensive Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and MVP. She was also an All-Region selection, two-time All-Area Team member, and Big Orange Classic All-Tournament Team member. Off the court, Turner was cum lade as a two-time Dean's List student, and was granted multiple scholarships for her dedication in the classroom.
Coach Primm on Turner: "Jamariah brings strong character and athleticism along with her defensive and scoring ability. She is highly competitive and, at times, will sacrifice scoring to be a defensive stopper. I look forward to her having a substantial impact on and off the floor."
Olivia Watkins | Lawton, OK | Norman North
A 6-foot-1 stretch four from Lawton, OK,
Oliva Watkins' career at Norman North High School has led to 6A-1 Offensive Player of the Year honors following her junior season, along with being a 6A First Team selection. She also ranked fourth in Oklahoma in blocks, and averaged 18 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Coach Primm on Watkins: "Olivia's shooting ability at her size allows us to add to the overall team versatility. She is a dedicated young lady who is willing to do what it takes to be great, and her character aligns with our program and school values."
Genevive Wedemeyer | Hamburg, Germany | UAB
A member of the German U16-U18 National teams,
Genevive Wedemeyer spent the last two seasons at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she appeared in 55 games for a Blazers team that qualified for the Postseason WNIT in both years. Off the court, Wedemeyer was a three-time Dean's List honoree at UAB, and also earned Head of Schools Award and Scholar Athlete Award honors in 2023. Prior to UAB, she was the MVP of the She Got Game Classic in 2022.
