LOUDONVILLE, NY - The full 29-game 2025-26 Siena Women's Basketball regular season schedule has been announced as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) unveiled the 20-game league schedule Monday. The regular season conference schedule will tip off Dec. 19.
The 2025-26 MAAC Basketball schedule format mostly mirrors last year's slate. Siena will once again play a 20-game MAAC regular season schedule this winter – featuring an even breakdown of 10 home and 10 road conference contests – play four league foes just once as part of an unbalanced schedule, and have two conference byes. The Saints will also play no more than two consecutive home or road conference contests at any point.
Of Siena's 10 home MAAC games, six will be played on Saturdays and four on Thursdays at the UHY Center. As part of the unbalanced 13-team schedule, Siena will face Manhattan and Mount St. Mary's just once at home this season, and will take on reigning MAAC runner-up Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart just once on the road. The Saints two conference bye dates are set for Monday, Dec. 29 and Saturday, Jan. 24.
The 2025-26 MAAC schedule centers around the conclusion time of regular season action and the format of the conference tournament. This winter, regular season action will wrap up on Saturday, Feb. 28 – a full week earlier than last year's finale. The 2026 MAAC Basketball Championships – which return to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey for the seventh consecutive season – will be held from Mar. 5-9. After commencing on a Tuesday in recent years, the 2026 MAAC Championships will open on a Thursday. The semifinals on Sunday will be followed by the 2026 MAAC Championship Game on Monday, Mar. 9, six days prior to the NCAA Tournament bracket reveal.
The Saints begin MAAC play with their annual trip to Western New York to take on Niagara (Friday, Dec. 19) and Canisius (Sunday, Dec. 21), while the return trip to the UHY Center will be made on Thursday, Jan. 29 (Niagara) and Saturday, Jan. 31 (Canisius). Conversely, Siena's first bye comes after its Western New York trip, while its second comes just before hosting Niagara and Canisius.
Siena welcomes Mount St. Mary's on New Year's Day for its first home conference bout of the season before making the trip to Iona on Saturday, Jan. 3, for its first meeting of the season with the Gaels. Following Iona, the Saints will have an even split of three home and three away games leading into their second and final bye.
Notably, dates against defending league champion Fairfield are set for Monday, Jan. 19, in Fairfield, CT, and Sat., Feb. 21, at the UHY Center. The Saints travel to I-87 rival Marist on Thursday, Jan. 22, before hosting the Red Foxes in the regular season finale on Saturday, Feb. 28.
