Women’s Soccer Wraps Homestand With Scoreless Stalemate

Saints Play Le Moyne to Draw

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Soccer wrapped up its season-long three-match homestand with a scoreless draw against Le Moyne on Hickey Field.

Siena (2-1-2) held a 12-7 advantage in shots and a 5-4 margin in corner kicks while running their home unbeaten streak to four to start the season, and 10 straight (6-0-4) in regular season action dating back to last fall.

Cate Burns made three saves to secure her second clean sheet for the Saints, while her counterpart Sophia Saladin stopped a pair of shots in recording a shutout of her own for Le Moyne (0-4-1).

Abby Daly led Siena with four shots, while Iona Snape added three. Micaiah Croce (36th minute) and Briana Neary (87th) had arguably the Saints two best scoring chances, but their volleys over the hard-charging keeper both went just over the crossbar.

After opening the season with four of its first five matches at home, the schedule starts to even out as the Saints take to the road for three of their next four. Siena returns to action when they head to the Granite State to face New Hampshire Sunday at 2 p.m.
