Siena Basketball Announces Complete 2025-26 Schedule

Slate Finalized With Announcement of 11-Game Non-Conference Schedule

LOUDONVILLE, NY – The full 2025-26 Siena Men's Basketball schedule is now complete. The 31-game regular season slate has been finalized with the release of the 11-game non-conference schedule, with the Saints campaign set to officially tip off on the Opening Day of the 2025-26 college basketball season on Monday, Nov. 3 at MVP Arena.

The 2025-26 Siena Men's Basketball schedule features 13 home games at MVP Arena, highlighted by four Friday and three Sunday tilts. The Saints will be tested early with a pair of separate four-game stretches away from home to both close out November and to bridge the New Year.

For the second straight season, fans will have their first opportunity to see the 2025-26 Siena Men's Basketball squad in exhibition action on campus in the UHY Center when the Saints host local foe Union in a preseason tune-up on Sunday, Oct. 19. The matchup will be the first between the Capital Region programs in 17 years. Tickets to the exhibition – which is not part of the season ticket package – will go on-sale soon.

The challenging 11-game non-conference slate features matchups against three postseason squads from a season ago, including a pair which played in the NCAA Tournament. Nine of the 11 non-conference opponents achieved winning records last season.

The 85th season of Siena Basketball officially tips off on Opening Day of the 2025-26 college basketball campaign, when the Saints host defending America East Champion and NCAA Tournament participant Bryant on Monday, Nov. 3 at MVP Arena in the earliest-ever lid-lifter in program history. New Bulldogs Head Coach Jamion Christian previously led the Saints during the 2018-19 season.

Siena concludes opening week action with a trip to Rhode Island on Friday, Nov. 7 to square off with Brown for the third straight season, before preparing for annual rivalry matchups in two of their ensuing three contests.

The 15th straight installment of the Br. Ed Coughlin Franciscan Cup heads back to the Southern Tier when the Saints battle sister school and 2025 NIT participant St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The week of Nov. 17 is bookended by a pair of non-conference showdowns back home at MVP Arena. Siena hosts perennial Patriot League power Colgate – which has appeared in five of the past seven NCAA Tournaments – on Monday, Nov. 17, followed by the return of the previously announced Albany Cup to MVP Arena when the Saints battle crosstown rival UAlbany on Friday, Nov. 21.

A busy four-game holiday week tips off with a trip to Holy Cross on Monday, Nov. 24, leading into a fourth straight Thanksgiving Weekend MTE. Siena will head to the nation's capital for the Capital Thanksgiving Classic, with matchups set for Friday, Nov. 28 against Longwood, Saturday, Nov. 29 vs. host and defending Patriot League Champion and NCAA Tournament participant American, and Sunday, Nov. 30 vs. a Maine program which won 20 games a season ago.

After tipping off December with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opening weekend against Western New York rivals Niagara (Dec. 5) and Canisius (Dec. 7) at MVP Arena, the Saints conclude non-conference action with a pair of challenging road tests to start a season-long, four-game road trip to bridge the New Year.

Siena rekindles its regional rivalry with perennial America East power Vermont on Wednesday, Dec. 17 in Burlington, before wrapping up non-conference play with a marquee matchup at Big Ten foe Indiana on Monday, Dec. 22. The contest will mark the Saints first tilt against a Power Four opponent in three years, and first matchup vs. a current Big Ten program in a decade (2015 – Wisconsin), as Siena battles the college basketball blue blood Hoosiers for the first time ever.

The MAAC previously released the Saints 20-game regular season league schedule last month, featuring an even breakdown of 10 home and 10 road contests. The 2026 MAAC Basketball Championships return to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey for a seventh consecutive season Mar. 5-10. After commencing on a Tuesday in recent years, the 2026 MAAC Championships will open on a Thursday. The semifinals on Sunday will be followed by an off-day, with the 2026 MAAC Championship Game set for Tuesday, Mar. 10, five days prior to the NCAA Tournament bracket reveal.
