LOUDONVILLE, NY - Bennet Glinder made four saves in goal to record his first clean sheet of the 2025 season as Siena Men's Soccer battled crosstown foe UAlbany to a scoreless draw from Hickey Field on Tuesday evening.
Siena (2-4-1, 1-0) held an 8-7 edge on shots, with each side putting four on goal by the end of the match. The Saints also had a 10-4 advantage on corners, while UAlbany (2-4-2) committed 16 fouls to Siena's 10.
Ismail Dia,
Campbell Stalker,
Mario Navarro Perez, and
Christian Amaral distributed the Saints' shots on goal. Three of the Great Danes' four were stopped by Glinder within the first 14 minutes of play, coming over a 3:10 span between the '10 and '14.
Amaral provided Siena a golden look in the '44, which was stopped by Andrej Krivokapic of UAlbany to keep the match scoreless at half. Dia followed early in '52 with a close attempt inside the box but was denied by a pair of UAlbany defenders.
Navarro Perez looked to repeat his heroics from last Saturday in the 66th minute, splitting a pair of defenders and getting off a clean shot on goal just outside the box. He, however, was also denied by Krivokapic.
The Saints remain home at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, to host Fairfield for their first home MAAC match of the season.
