LOUDONVILLE, NY - Entering his second season as an assistant coach on the Siena Women's Basketball staff,
Billy Lovett has been named the program's assistant coach/recruiting coordinator, head coach
Terry Primm announced.
"I am excited to announce
Billy Lovett as our new recruiting coordinator," said Primm. "In just one year as an assistant coach, Billy proved himself as a relentless recruiter and a tremendous ambassador for our program. His energy, connections, and ability to identify and build relationships with top talent have benefited our program. I am confident he'll thrive in this new role as we continue to attract student-athletes who fit our fast-paced style, championship vision, and top-caliber university."
No stranger to the recruiting trail, the three-time state champion head coach built Morris Catholic High School in Denville, New Jersey, into a perennial powerhouse with back-to-back NJSIAA Non-Public B Championships and a final ranking of No. 8 nationally two seasons ago.
"I'm honored and excited to step into the recruiting coordinator role for Siena Women's Basketball," said Lovett. "I want to thank Coach Primm for trusting me with this opportunity. We're a team — and finding the right fit for Siena Women's Basketball will always be a coordinated and collaborative effort by our entire staff. I look forward to continuing to represent this program, this university, and the standard we're building together. I can't wait to get to work!"
Lovett was an integral part of Siena's success last season, which led to the program's first national postseason berth since 2015. After achieving double-digit victories in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play for the fourth consecutive season – and 14 for the second consecutive season – Lovett helped the Saints secure the #3 seed in the MAAC Tournament for the second consecutive season.
