Siena Men's Golf opened action at the Columbia Autumn Invitational on Saturday at the Lake Placid Club Links Course, relying on a strong second-round surge to position themselves at 11-over par (579) through 36 holes.

After turning in an opening-round 296 (+12), the Saints rebounded in impressive fashion during the afternoon session, firing a 1-under team score of 283 to hold 10th place in a competitive field before play was suspended due to darkness.

Michael McConie and freshman
Mick Madden spearheaded Siena's second-round turnaround. McConie bounced back from a 3-over 74 in his opening round to card a team-best 2-under 69 in Round 2, moving him into a tie for 22nd place individually at 1-over par (143).

Madden followed an identical script, recovering from a first-round 75 (+4) with a red-number 69 (-2) of his own to claim a share of 33rd place at 2-over par (144).

KC Nickel posted steady numbers across both sessions, pairing an opening 74 (+3) with an afternoon 72 (+1) to sit tied for 46th at 4-over par (146).
Gavin Crowley delivered Siena's lowest score of the morning round with a 2-over 73, following it up with a 74 (+3) to tie for 54th at 5-over par (147).
Michael Broeker rounded out the Saints' lineup in 70th place, shaving four strokes off his opening 77 (+6) to turn in a 2-over 73 in the afternoon for an 8-over 150 total.

Evan Hogg posted rounds of 78 (+7) and 74 (+3) to hold 73rd place at 10-over par (152), while
Connor Kiel recorded a 76 (+5) and 77 (+6) to sit tied for 75th at 11-over par (153).
