LOUDONVILLE, NY—Siena Swimming & Diving placed 14 student-athletes on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team ahead of this week's conference championships.
To earn MAAC All-Academic Team recognition, a student-athlete must have completed at least two semesters at their institution and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
All four members of Siena's senior class were honored:
Grace Neno,
Kaci Owens,
Leana Padunina, and
Brooke Pociask. Neno, a nursing major; Owens, a finance major; and Pociask, a health studies/health science major, each earned All-Academic Team honors for the third time in their careers. Padunina was recognized for the first time after transferring to Siena prior to last season.
Eight juniors also earned All-Academic distinction: Mea Amedia (business),
Natalie Blume (marketing),
Carsyn Ide (English),
GayLynn Kirn (psychology),
Sydney Murray (biology),
Camryn Raines (psychology),
Alice Scalmani (health studies/health science), and
Mary Ellen Stratman (health studies/health science).
Sophomores
Leslie Dame (history) and
Claire Donlon (communications–sports) were honored for the first time in their careers.
The 2026 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships will take place Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 11–14, at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, OH. The event returns to SPIRE for the third consecutive year, dating back to 2024.
