Siena Men's Tennis sophomore Bruno Loch Varella earned his first MAAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week award on Wednesday.
 
The Sao Paulo, Brazil native earned a pair of victories in the Saints' 4-0 win against St. Bonaventure this past Sunday.
 
Loch Varella partnered with Mateja Stefanovic of Serbia to cruise past the Bonnies' team of Luke Ollivierre and Dilraj Singh Dhillon 6-1 at the doubles #3 position.
 
In singles play, Loch Varella got the job done in a 6-3, 6-1 victory against Alex Kim from the fourth singles slot.
 
Loch Varella improved his ledger to 5-4 in singles play and 5-3 in individual doubles matches for the 2025-2026 season.
 
The Saints (1-4) will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 14 at 6:15 p.m. hosting Colgate (1-1) at Tri-City Fitness in Latham.
