Siena Basketball Battles I-87 Rival Marist Sunday in Poughkeepsie

Saints Look to Bounce Back From Consecutive Defeats

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Siena Basketball battles I-87 rival Marist in yet another pivotal Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference clash Sunday at 2 p.m. at McCann Arena.

Dean Darling, Steve Eggink, and William Rosen have the call of the game on ESPN+, which can be viewed by clicking the corresponding link. The "Voice of the Saints" Emmanuel Berbari and former Saint Conner Fenlon '12 will have the radio call of the game locally in the Capital Region on JAMZ 96.3 FM, with pregame coverage beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Siena (17-9, 10-5) looks to bounce back from consecutive setbacks for the first time in a month and a half which have dropped the Saints into fourth place in the MAAC Standings. With five regular season games remaining, Siena is just a half-game back of third-place Quinnipiac, and only one behind second-place Saint Peter's.

The Saints also enter Sunday just a half-game clear of fifth-place Marist (16-9, 10-6) which has also dropped back-to-back contests. The Red Foxes are 10-2 this season at McCann Arena, where they have limited the opposition to just 58.4 points on 37% shooting including only 22% from three.

Siena seeks to complete its first regular season series sweep of Marist in three years, following a 69-50 triumph on Jan. 22 in Albany. The I-87 rivals meet for the 98th time in a series which the Saints have dominated to the tune of a 64-33 advantage.
