Siena Softball (10-9) fell 5-0 to the Iona Gaels (6-14) on Saturday at Walsh Field in New Rochelle, NY, but still secured the series after sweeping Friday's doubleheader.

Gracie Goewey went five innings in the circle, allowing six hits and five earned runs while striking out four and walking one.
Violet Marta provided a strong relief effort, tossing two scoreless innings without allowing a hit, walking two, and striking out one.

Emma Petersen led Siena at the plate with two hits, including a double, while
Sarah Miller contributed defensively with four assists at third base.

Iona took control in the second inning with three runs, highlighted by an RBI double from Brooke Acker and an RBI triple from LeeAnn Downey. The Gaels added two more in the fifth on another Acker single to extend the lead to 5-0.

Siena threatened in the fourth after Petersen's double to left-center, but a double play ended the inning. Petersen and
Megan Klein each singled in the sixth, though the Saints couldn't capitalize.
