The Siena Men's Tennis won its third straight and seventh of its last eight with a 5-2 victory on the road at Merrimack on Sunday at North Andover High School in North Andover, Mass.
The Saints (7-5, 3-0 MAAC) earned the doubles point by taking two of three matches behind the strength of duos
Emilio Zavala Salinas and
Santiago Trujillo as well as the team of
Bruno Loch Varella and
Mateja Stefanovic, who each won their matches at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions.
In singles, the Saints received backing from the No. 3 through 6 positions with wins notched by
Mars Argun, Loch Varella,
Matteo Castellazzi and Zavala Salinas.
Merrimack fell to 3-6 and 1-2 in MAAC play.
Next up, Siena will play at Fairfield this Friday at 12 p.m. at the WAC Tennis Courts in another conference showdown.
