LOUDONVILLE, NY—Siena Women's Golf is set to take on the Sunshine State as it competes in the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships. The three-day, 54-hole event tees off Tuesday at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course, with the Saints getting underway at 8:45 a.m.
Fans can follow live scoring throughout the championship via the tournament's official results link.
The MAAC Championships return to Disney for the 15th consecutive season dating back to 2011 and the 24th time overall since 2000. This year also marks a historic shift, as the men's and women's championships will be contested separately for the first time in league history.
The 13-time MAAC champion Saints look to build on recent momentum after posting a program-record 54-hole score of +56 (920) en route to a fifth-place finish last spring. The result marked the Saints' best showing at the championships since a fourth-place finish in 2019 and came against a field that has since expanded from eight to 10 teams.
Leading the charge is sophomore
Julia Kret, who returns after earning MAAC All-Championship Team honors a year ago. Kret placed 10th overall with a 54-hole score of 226 (+10), highlighted by rounds of 77, 73, and 76—good for the sixth-lowest 54-hole score in program history. She has continued her strong play this season, pacing the Saints with a 79.5 adjusted scoring average across 12 rounds.
Siena will also lean on veteran leadership from senior
Mackenzie Whitney and junior
Emely Kintzel. Kintzel enters championship play in strong form, coming off a runner-up finish at the Fairfield Tri-Match on April 13, where she carded a 74 (+1)—one of her top performances of the season and her second top-three finish this year.
Whitney, the team's most experienced competitor, makes her fourth appearance at Disney and continues to trend upward on the conference stage. She recorded a career-best MAAC finish last season, tying for 25th at +21 (237), marking a 10-stroke improvement from 2024 and shaving four strokes off her 2023 performance.
The MAAC champion will earn an automatic berth to an NCAA Regional, scheduled for May 11-13.
