Smith Completes First Siena Staff

LOUDONVILLE, NY – New Siena Men's Basketball Head Coach Nevada Smith has completed his first staff with the hiring of Director of Basketball Operations Kaden LeCapitaine.

"Kaden was a big get for us," said Smith. "I have known him since he was a freshman manager at Marquette. Kaden is a tireless worker who can handle any task thrown his way. He is a solution-based thinker who will always figure out the best options. Kaden will wear many hats for us and do them all at a high level."

LeCapitaine arrives in Loudonville after spending the past two seasons on staff for Doug Gottlieb at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He first served as Director of Video and Analytics, and then this past season as Director of Basketball Operations.

"I'm extremely grateful and excited to be joining Coach Smith's staff," said LeCapitaine. "Nevada has been a great mentor to me from the start of my career, and I am excited to continue to learn from a great offensive mind. I am looking forward to being a part of a Siena community known for its excellent basketball tradition."

A 2024 graduate of Marquette University with a B.S. in Business Administration, LeCapitaine was the head student manager for the Golden Eagles, where he managed a staff of full-time student managers and assisted in recruiting processes as well as scouting reports. LeCapitaine is a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The hiring of LeCapitaine completes the first Siena staff for Smith, which also includes assistant coaches Matt Blue, Shaun Morris, and Lawrence Rowley, and special assistant Brian Beaury.
