Siena Women’s Basketball Announces Addition of Eight Newcomers for 2026-27 Season

Siena Welcomes Dynamic Class of Transfers and Freshmen to Bolster 2026-27 Roster

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Basketball Head Coach Terry Primm has announced the addition of eight newcomers who will join the Saints for the 2026-27 season. The incoming class features a mix of Division I experience, international talent, and accomplished high school standouts ready to make an immediate impact in Loudonville.
 
"We are excited to welcome this group to Siena," said Primm. "They are talented student-athletes who align with our culture, value education, embrace competition, and are motivated by the opportunity to help build something special. Each brings a unique set of strengths to our program, but all share a commitment to growth, teamwork, and pursuing excellence on and off the court." 
 
Karissa Antoine | Pattersonville, NY | Schalmont High School (Fordham)
Antoine returns to her home region after spending her first two collegiate seasons at Fordham, where she appeared in 29 of 30 games as a freshman during the 2024-25 season. The forward averaged 12.2 minutes per game, scoring 43 points while shooting 37.7 percent from the field. She also collected 101 rebounds (3.5 per game) while adding nine blocks, 15 steals, and eight assists.
 
Antoine posted a career-high 10 rebounds in just her second collegiate game against Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 8.
 
Prior to Fordham, Antoine starred at nearby Schalmont High School, where she was a four-year varsity standout for the Sabres. She helped lead Schalmont to a state championship as a sophomore while averaging 18.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game. She followed with junior season averages of 21.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 4.1 blocks before posting 16.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks as a senior.
 
A three-time Class B All-Star selection and three-time First Team Times Union All-Star, Antoine finished her high school career with 1,668 points, the second-most in program history. She was also named a Channel 13 WNYT All-Star, a Class B New York State All-Star, team captain during the 2023-24 season, and an Under Armour Future 60 Selection.
 
Coach Primm on Antoine: "Karissa is a relentless competitor who embraces challenges and attacks her development with purpose. She has a strong desire to improve, a team-first mindset, and the determination to compete at the highest level. We believe her best basketball is still ahead of her." 
 
Dany Diaz | Coahuila, Mexico | DeSoto High School
Diaz joins the Saints following a decorated high school career at DeSoto High School. The 5-foot-9 guard was a three-time District 11-6A MVP and three-time All-Academic District selection.

Diaz earned All-State honors once and was a two-time TABC All-Region selection. A standout point guard, Diaz scored more than 2,000 points over three seasons and competed for Team Southwest.
 
Coach Primm on Diaz: "Dany has developed against some of the best competition in the country and has proven she can produce in demanding environments. She is a crafty scorer with outstanding resilience and creativity, and her ability to adapt and compete makes her an exciting addition to Siena Women's Basketball." 
 
Ashari Emuze | White Plains, NY | AZ Compass Prep
Emuze joins Siena after a standout season at AZ Compass Prep, where she was one of the top performers on the roster. The guard was a McDonald's All-American nominee and helped guide her team to a CAA State Championship.
 
Emuze was named the team's leading scorer and was nominated as team MVP after averaging 22 points per game, six rebounds, and five assists during the 2025-26 season. She also earned AZ Compass Prep Female Athlete of the Year honors.
 
Coach Primm on Emuze: "Ashari is a confident and driven player who approaches the game with a competitive mindset. She stretches the floor with her shooting ability and has shown a commitment to continuous improvement. We are excited about the energy, confidence, and work ethic she brings to our program." 
 
Dani Garcia Gasco | Brenes, Sevilla, Spain | Stenhus Gymnasium (Northeastern Junior College)
Garcia Gasco brings collegiate experience and international success to Siena after beginning her career at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO.
 
During her sophomore season, Garcia Gasco averaged 13.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, leading NJCAA Region IX in rebounding while ranking sixth in the region in scoring. She also led NJC in scoring and shot a team-best 39 percent from the field.
 
A two-time South All-Region IX Team selection, Garcia Gasco was also named to the 2026 South All-Region All-Defensive Team. As a freshman, she averaged 12.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, leading both her team and Region IX in rebounding.
 
Before arriving in the United States, Garcia Gasco played three seasons at Stenhus Basketball College in Denmark. She was a two-time Most Valuable Player selection and helped her teams earn second- and third-place finishes in the Danish U19 Women's League and Danish U19 Cup. She also earned four Player of the Game honors at the Scania Cup and competed in regional championships in Spain.
 
Coach Primm on Garcia Gasco: "Dani possesses a unique combination of size, versatility, and basketball IQ. She is an instinctive playmaker who sees the game well and consistently creates opportunities for those around her. Her competitiveness and feel for the game give her the ability to impact winning in a variety of ways." 
 
Nila Giraud | Rahway, NJ | Immaculate Conception (UAlbany)
Giraud joins Siena after spending her freshman season at UAlbany, where she appeared in eight games and totaled 19 minutes of action. She averaged 0.8 points and 0.6 rebounds while recording two steals.
 
Prior to college, Giraud was a four-year varsity basketball player at Immaculate Conception High School, serving as team captain during her senior season. She was also a three-year varsity volleyball athlete and captain while competing for several club programs, including Trained 2 Go, New Heights, Jersey Gemz, and Team Sharp.
 
Coach Primm on Giraud: "Nila combines power, skill, and versatility in a way that allows her to affect the game all over the floor. She is a three-level playmaker with a strong desire to grow and expand her game. Her maturity, character, and commitment to becoming her best make her an outstanding fit for Siena." 
 
Myanna Hatchette | Orlando, FL | Lake Highland Prep
Hatchette comes to Siena from Lake Highland Prep, where the 5-foot-10 guard enjoyed a highly successful prep career.
 
A team captain from 2024-26, Hatchette was named the FACA District 11 3A Player of the Year during the 2025-26 season and earned Second Team Sentinel All-Area honors in 2024-25. She was also a member of the 1,000 Point Club.
 
Hatchette helped lead Lake Highland Prep to a state championship in 2023-24 and a state runner-up finish in 2025-26. Off the court, she was a four-year Honor Roll student and National Honor Society member.
 
Coach Primm on Hatchette: "Myanna comes from a highly successful program and understands what it takes to compete at a high level. She is a versatile guard who impacts the game in multiple ways and consistently makes winning plays. Just as importantly, she is a person of tremendous character who will fit seamlessly into our culture." 
 
Grace Sundback | Staten Island, NY | Westtown School (Delaware)
Sundback joins Siena after spending three seasons at Delaware. During the 2025-26 season, she appeared in 22 games with six starts, averaging 1.2 points and 1.3 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game.
 
In 2023-24, Sundback played in 19 games with 15 starts, averaging 5.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 23.7 minutes per game. She missed the 2024-25 season due to injury.

Prior to Delaware, Sundback starred at Westtown School, earning PA Class 2A First Team All-State honors, First Team Daily honors, and Friends League All-League recognition. She was also a state champion and earned Team Coaches Award honors. Sundback competed for New Heights AAU.

She brings versatility, toughness, and a commitment to excellence that aligns perfectly with our culture. Her work ethic, basketball IQ, and desire to improve will allow her to impact the game in a variety of ways, and we are excited to see her continue to grow at Siena." 
 
Stella Ziogas | New Rochelle, NY | New Rochelle High School
Ziogas joins the Saints from New Rochelle High School, where she established herself as a versatile and accomplished athlete.
 
The 5-foot-3 point guard was a McDonald's All-American nominee and earned New York All-State and All-Section honors in basketball, soccer, and flag football. She surpassed 1,000 career points during her prep career.
 
Ziogas also earned the Under Armour Iron Man Award in 2025, maintained High Honor Roll status, and was involved with DECA Marketing. She competed at the club level with NY Lightning.
 
Coach Primm on Ziogas: "Stella brings a tremendous passion for the game and a desire to maximize her potential. She plays with pace, shoots the basketball with confidence, and has a natural ability to create opportunities for herself and her teammates. Her skill set and feel for the game fit extremely well with how we want to play."
