LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Basketball will open its 2026-27 Metro Conference schedule on the road at Merrimack on Saturday, Dec. 19, before welcoming Quinnipiac to the UHY Center for its league home opener on Monday, Dec. 21, as the Metro Conference unveiled its 2026-27 conference schedule Monday.
 
The Saints will compete in an unbalanced 20-game Metro schedule featuring an even split of 10 home and 10 road contests. Siena will face eight league opponents twice while taking on four conference foes just once as part of the unbalanced slate.
 
Siena's conference schedule features a balanced mix of dates, including eight Saturday contests, seven Thursday games, two Monday matchups, and one each on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
 
The Saints will open league play with a road trip to Merrimack on Saturday, Dec. 19, before returning to Loudonville to host Quinnipiac on Monday, Dec. 21. Siena will then welcome defending league champion Fairfield to the UHY Center on Tuesday, Dec. 29, before ringing in the New Year on the road at Iona on Friday, Jan. 1.
 
The matchup with Iona will mark a rematch of last season's Metro Tournament quarterfinal meeting, while the Saints will also renew their I-87 rivalry with Marist twice. Siena will host the Red Foxes on Saturday, Jan. 30, before traveling to Poughkeepsie for the regular-season finale on Saturday, Feb. 27.
 
Siena will host Fairfield in the first meeting of the season on Dec. 29 before making the return trip to Connecticut on Wednesday, Jan. 13. The Saints will also welcome Iona on Saturday, Feb. 6, after opening the season series in New Rochelle on New Year's Day.
 
Other home-and-home opponents include Merrimack, Sacred Heart, Mount St. Mary's, Manhattan, and Marist.
 
As part of the unbalanced schedule, Siena will face Saint Peter's just once, hosting the Peacocks on Saturday, Jan. 16. The Saints will also welcome Niagara for a single matchup on Thursday, Jan. 21, while making lone road trips to Rider on Thursday, Feb. 18, and Canisius on Saturday, Feb. 13.
 
The Canisius matchup will mark Siena's lone trip to Western New York during the 2026-27 Metro campaign.
 
The Saints will have two conference byes during the regular season, with no league action scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 3, or Saturday, Jan. 23.
 
Siena's regular-season home finale will come against Manhattan on Thursday, Feb. 25, while the Saints will close the regular season on the road at I-87 rival Marist on Saturday, Feb. 27.
 
The 2027 Metro Conference Women's Basketball Championship will return to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, with championship action slated for March 4-8.
 
Tip-off times and broadcast information for Siena's Metro Conference contests will be announced at a later date.
 
Individual game tickets for the 2026-27 women's basketball season will go on sale in September. Existing women's basketball season ticket holders will receive an email soon with information regarding how to renew their seats and will be automatically entered into the June Jackpot so they don't miss out on the promotion.
