Volleyball Match Hosting Marist to be Simulcast on SNY

Sept. 29 Matchup to be played at 7 p.m.; will also be aired on ESPN+

EDISON, NJ – The Metro Conference and SNY have reached an agreement that will see five fall Metro athletic events air on one of the nation's top-rated regional sports networks, marking the first time the Metro has aired fall sports.

The agreement expands on the Metro's relationship with the TV home of the New York Mets and New York Jets that saw seven Metro basketball games hit the airwaves last year.

The package begins on Tuesday, Sept. 29 with a 7 PM ET women's volleyball match between Marist and Siena. A total of three Metro women's volleyball contests will be broadcast on SNY while men's and women's soccer will each have one match hit the airwaves. Four of the contests will air live.

"Expanding our partnership with SNY to include fall sports is another important step in increasing the visibility of Metro student-athletes and member institutions," said Commissioner Travis Tellitocci.

"SNY provides us with a tremendous platform in the nation's largest media market, and we are excited to showcase women's volleyball and men's and women's soccer to audiences throughout the Tri-State Area. This relationship strengthens our commitment to providing greater visibility for Metro programs across all of our sports."

The 2026 Metro Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll released last Thursday revealed that the Saints Volleyball team has been projected to finish in sixth place out of 12 members in the standings after receiving 80 votes, an increase of 43 votes from last season to this year. It is the highest place Siena has been pre-season ranked since 2017.

Siena (14-19 overall in the 2025 season, 9-9 in conference) is coming off a season in which it qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2022 and earned its most wins since the 2015 season.

Marist finished 10-20 overall and was 8-10 in conference play. Marist was chosen eighth in the poll.

Siena leads the all-time series 48-33 and the teams split their two regular season match ups last year with the home team winning each time.
