COACH ROSSI ON BELLOMO:

• “The captain is coming off a season where he came back from an injury and did a real good job He is arguably one of the top arms on the staff when healthy. Coming out of the pen he is lights out. If he can perform like he has in the past, he will add a much needed help in the stretch to help the bullpen.”

• Served as a team captain
• Made 11 appearances, including five starts
• Held a 1-0 record with a 5.54 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP over 39 innings
• Registered 36 strikeouts while tossing 17 walks

• Named the MAAC Pitcher of the Week on April 24, 2018
• Made 15 appearances on the mound, including four starts
• Posted a 2-2 record in 46 innings of work, striking out 47 batters and walking 26
• Finished the year with a 5.67 ERA, his best through four seasons so far
• Struck out a season-high nine batters in seven scoreless innings at Fairfield on April 22, combining for a 6-0 shutout win

• Appeared in just three games over opening week of year before suffering season-ending injury
• Tossed 3.2 innings, recording five strikeouts

• Made 15 appearances in relief, tossing 30.1 innings and allowing just 33 hits
• 12 of the 20 earned runs he allowed on the season came in his first (7) and last (5) appearance
• Had dominant 2.2 inning, five strikeout, no-hit relief effort at Saint Peter's (4/25)
• Picked up the victory, with 2.2 innings of shutout, one-hit relief against Manhattan (4/19)

BEFORE SIENA:

• Lettered in baseball and hockey at Rutland earning First Team All-State and All-Conference honors as a pitcher and an infielder as a sophomore, junior and senior
• Won team batting title and MVP award as a senior
• Recipient of 2013 Department of Baseball Sportsmanship Award
• Enjoyed a standout career in American Legion circuit garnering 2013 MVP, 2012 Defensive POY, 2011 MIP and 2010 ROY for Post 31
• Had stress fracture in L5 vertebrae in back that restricted him from going to college right out of high school. After 13 months of rehab he was able to play again and make dream of playing Division I baseball come true
• Attended the Community College of Vermont for one year before coming to Siena

• Son of Kevin & Tracy Bellomo
• Has a sister - Kristina
• Father played baseball at Western Carolina University and played in the San Francisco Giants Organization for three seasons
• Sister plays ice hockey at Lake Forest College
• Majoring in business management & marketing
• Chose Siena because of academics
