- Played three years of high school basketball locally at Albany Academy, before playing his senior season at the Hun School of Princeton (NJ)
- Part of Albany Academy team which won the 2013 NYS Class A Federation Championship

- Son of Matt and Kathy (Kaczkowski) Dufort '90
- Mother played four seasons on Siena Women's Basketball team (1986-90), and ranks 18th all-time in program history in scoring (1,135), fifth in blocks (116), and tied for eighth in field goal percentage (.506)
- Late grandfather, Leo Dufort, is who Siena College's Leo Dufort Student Athlete of the Month award is named after
- Has an older brother, Connor, and a younger brother, Christian
