- Spent postgraduate year at PHHoenix Prep in Arizona where he competed for the Overtime Elite program
- Was nominee for the West squad for the prestigious McDonald's All-American game
- Previously attended Rabun Gap – Nacoochee High School in Rabun Gap, Georgia
- Led the Boys Under Armour Association circuit in blocked shots while starring for B. Maze Elite

- Son of Jason and Tabatha Brafford
- Father and mother both played basketball collegiately at North Florida
- Older brother, Nate, plays basketball at Georgia Southern
