Biography
GENERAL
- First commitment in the Saints' Class of 2023
- Big, physical presence in the low post
- True big man who has the ability to play through from the block or high post

2019-20 (AS A FRESHMAN)
- Appeared in 22 games as a freshman, seeing action in 18 of the team's final 20 games after having played in just four of the first 10
- Averaged 2.9 points and 2.7 rebounds spanning 7.7 minutes of action
- Broke out to average 5.6 points and 4.1 rebounds on 52% shooting in 13.4 minutes over seven-game span (Jan. 9-31)
- Scored season-high 12 points and added six rebounds in just 14 minutes in win at Iona (Jan. 31)
- Posted 10 points in 13 minutes in victory over Marist (Jan. 24)
- Scored nine points and corraled season-high eight rebounds at Niagara (Jan. 19)
BEFORE SIENA
- Named a 2019 Pennsylvania Sports Writers Class 4A Third Team selection after averaging 13.9 points and leading Bethlehem Catholic to a 26-4 record
- Tied for team-high with 14 points in 2018 PIAA Class 4A State Semifinals and led squad to 28-4 record and an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and District 11 Class 4A Championship his junior season
- Played AAU for the Jersey Shore Warriors, which also produced recent Siena stars Ryan Rossiter and Rob Poole

- Son of Patrick and Tammy Young
- Has an older brother, Ryan, who plays basketball at Northwestern, and an older sister, Jordan, who played volleyball at George Washington
