Biography
GENERAL
- Comes from strong basketball pedigree, as father Thomas Sr. '91 also played for the Saints, and younger brother, Kevin plays for the Atlanta Hawks
- Matriculated to Siena after spending a postgraduate year at Cheshire Academy (CT)
- Very coachable player possesses strong basketball IQ
- Multi-dimensional versatile talent
2017-18
- Saw action in 26 games, including first six career starts
- Averaged 3.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists over 17.6 minutes of play
- Tied season-high with nine points, set career-high with three steals, and added five rebounds and three assists vs. Monmouth (Feb. 18)
2016-17
- Appeared in 11 games as a freshman, logging 46 minutes and totaling eight points
- Scored first collegiate points on a pair of free throws in win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 23)
- Played a season-high 11 minutes and converted his lone field goal attempt vs. eventual MAAC Champion Iona (Jan. 27)
BEFORE SIENA
- Led Shenendehowa to a perfect 25-0 record and the school's first NYSPHSAA Class AA State Championship in 28 years as a high school senior
- Named to the 2014-15 Class AA All-Tournament Team after scoring 22 points and pulling down seven rebounds in the championship game against Brentwood
- Earned Times Union Second Team All-Star and NYSSWA Class AA Seventh Team All-State accolades after scoring in double figures 20 times including seven 20-point efforts during a breakout 2014-15 campaign
PERSONAL
- Son of Thomas Sr. '91 and Erin Huerter '92
- Father was four-year member of the Saints (1987-91) and key cog on 1988-89 team which upset Stanford in the NCAA Tournament
- Younger brother, Kevin, plays for the NBA's Atlanta Hawks
- Has two younger sisters, Meghan, and Jillian
- Chose Siena because "it was close to home and had a great business school and basketball program"
