Biography
GENERAL:
- Returns to the active roster after taking a red-shirt during the 2015-16 season
- Played for the Dutch National B team this past summer
- Tough, athletic big who attacks the basket and can knock down outside jumper
- Brings international playing experience, as well as experience playing in New England's top prep league and on top AAU team
- Possesses great strength and the desire to constantly improve his game
2015-16:
2014-15:
- One of four Saints to play in all 31 games, making 12 starts
- Shot 42% from the field and 45% from three-point range (tops on the team)
- Scored season-high 12 points in wins over Quinnipiac (12/5) and Niagara (1/8)
- Grabbed season-high eight rebounds at Canisius (1/16), vs. Marist (1/23) and at Monmouth (3/1)
BEFORE SIENA:
- Began playing at age 6 and competed on Dutch under-15 and under-16 national teams
- Played for Metro Boston AUU team which produced 2014 NCAA Tournament MVP Shabazz Napier
- Excelled at Holderness, same school that produced Siena teammate Imoh Silas
PERSONAL:
- Son of Dirk and Miriam Brandwijk
- Older brother Dirk and older sister Janneke both attended university in the Netherlands
