Late in the second half, Ashley Smaldon (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) scored both of Siena's goals, avoiding the shutout at University of Maryland Baltimore County on Sunday. The Saints were held to only three shots and one penalty corner. Smaldon went to the net unassisted at 30:24 and less than a minute later Smaldon caught a pass from Terri Cordes (Windsor, NY/Windsor) to give the Green and Gold their only goals of the day.
The Saints will travel to LeHigh for a non-conference game on October 24 to finish out their season. The team is 4-12 overall and 4-8 in Northeast Conference action.
