LAWRENCEVILLE--Senior Janette Freeberg (Thorofare/West Deptford) scored two goals, and senior Alison Waters (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) added two assists, to lead Rider to a Northeast Conference victory over Siena Sunday.

Rider (2-2, 2-1 NEC) got the only goal it needed from freshman Maddy Boulden (Brooklawn/Gloucester) 18: 46 into the game, and Freeberg scored less than six minutes later to give the Broncs a 2-0 lead at the half.

Freshman Christina Ang (Somers Point/Mainland Regional) scored her team-high fourth goal of the season less than nine minutes into the second half to seal the victory.

Junior Krissy Merrill (Ocala, FL/Manheim Twp.) and sophomore Jennifer Mann (Allentown, PA/William Allen) also scored for the Broncs.

Rider out-shot Siena (1-4, 1-2 NEC) 34-3. Kristen Heyde made 14 saves for the Saints. For Rider, junior Jen Cushinotto (Tuckahoe/Ocean City) played the first 60 minutes and made one save. Freshman Michelle Sciascia (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) made one save in her first collegiate action for Rider.

Freeberg now has 42 career points, 11th highest ever at Rider.
