LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Marist relied primarily on three players to come from behind and beat Siena 11-6 Wednesday afternoon. With the win, Marist improves to 3-6 and 2-3 in the MAAC while Siena fell to 1-6 and 0-3 in conference play.
Marist fell behind early 3-1 but allowed Siena just three goals in the game's final 44 minutes, including none in the final 17 minutes. Marist outshot Siena 41-19 and won 12 of 20 faceoffs.
Paul Donohue scored the last five goals for Marist en route to a six goal, one assist performance. Brian Diele added two goals and three assists while Pat Scully had two goals and two assists.
Dan Wolpert (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Kennedy) led the Saints with three goals. Tom Nally (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) and Chris Padden (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) each had a goal and an assist.
The Saints return to action on Tuesday when they host Hartford at 3:00 p.m.
