Final Stats
Senior Amy Brown scored one goal and had two assists leading the University of Rhode Island (2-1) to a 4-0 shutout of Siena (0-3) Saturday at the URI Field Hockey Complex.
Brown tallied her first assists just six minutes into the game on a goal from Jamie Adams. It was Adams second goal and Brown's second assist of the season. Brown scored goal number two for the Rams on a penalty shot with 3:51 left to play in the first half.
Sophomore Jen Centenich scored her second goal of the season with an assist from Brown ten minutes into the second period.
With 15:20 left on the clock Lauren Lipski scored her first goal of the season off a corner, giving the Ram's goal number four. Laura Hackenberger received the ball off the line and passed it into Lipski for the final goal of the game.
URI out shot Siena 14 to eight with the Rams having ten shots on goal compared to the Saints six. Ram goalkeeper Mary-Jean Britt picked-up her second win of the season with six saves.
