Binghamton won five of six singles matches and swept the doubles competition in a 6-1 non-conference win over Siena Saturday in Loudonville. The highlight for the Saints came prior to the match as the members of the 2005-2006 MAAC Championship team were honored and presented with their NCAA rings and medallions.
Sophomore Sarah Mayer accounted for the only Siena point with a 6-4, 3-6 and 10-4 super tie-breaker win over Zeynep Altinay at top singles. Senior Taylor Barvoets lost a 5-2 lead in the first set of her match at second singles, suffering a 7-5 and 6-3 loss.
Siena will look to get back in the win column Sunday at Hartford.
