HAMILTON, NY – Siena Women's Tennis closed out the Colgate Invitational by winning three of four doubles matches on the second and final day of competition on Sunday at J.W. Abrahamson Courts.
Seniors
Zaara Omar and
Andrea Vargas carried the day for the Saints, picking up two victories in succession against pairs from Williams College and Hamilton College.
Omar, the Castelldefels, Spain native, and Vargas from Lima, Peru, turned out for a 7-5 win against the Williams' team of Gabriela Finchelstein and Ayanna Varma.
Directly afterward, Omar and Vargas went back on the court and topped the Hamilton team of Muhan Cui and Sara Rock 6-2.
Freshman
Mariana Pinzon and sophomore
Ana Savkovic paired together to earn a win in doubles play against the Williams pairing of Julia Zhang and Ahn Lin 6-4.
The Saints saw a tough day in singles play, going winless in three attempts.

Siena will take part in the Metro Masters Tournament beginning on Friday and running through Sunday at the QU Tennis Courts in Hamden, CT.
The 2026 Metro Masters Tournament will determine the men's and women's tennis singles and doubles representatives at the 2026 ITA Conference Masters Championship. The winning individuals and pairs will earn an automatic bid to the 2026 ITA Conference Masters Championship, which will take place at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California, from November 5–8, 2026 and in Rome, Georgia.
Four singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists), and three doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the Conference Masters (champion, finalist, third place).
Each NCAA AQ-eligible, Division I conference will designate one singles player and one doubles team from each gender to participate.
