The Siena women's golf team concluded its 2008 fall campaign with a ninth place finish over the weekend at the Kelly Gutshall Invitational hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. Sophomore Katelynn Mannix led the Siena contingent in placing ninth overall.
Harvard won the tournament convincingly, finishing 35 strokes ahead of second place Towson. Boston College's Eunice Yim won the individual crown, shooting a two round combined score of 153.
Mannix shot rounds of 80 and 82 respectively, to finish just out of shouting distance, nine shots behind Yim. Sophomore Catherine Shomo placed second amongst Siena competitors, finishing in a tie for 24th overall.
The Saints conclude the fall season with a fourth, seventh and two ninth place finishes in four invitationals. The Green and Gold return to the link next spring, with the schedule to be released soon.
