LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - After leading most of the game, Siena women's lacrosse gave up four straight goals and found themselves down 10-9. But the Saints battled back with three consecutive goals to end the game, two off the stick of freshman Michelle Andreo, and defeated UC Davis 12-10 Monday afternoon at Siena Turf Field. Andreo finished the game with a career-high four goals and added one assist.

Siena (6-1) tied the game 4-4 on Lindsey Rosecrans' second goal of the game off a pass from Andreo at the 9:54 mark of the first half. The Saints scored two more goals in the next three minutes to take a 6-4 lead. UC Davis' (2-7) Patrice Clark tallied her second goal of the game to draw her team within one, but Rosecrans scored with 1:35 left in the half to hand the Saints a 7-5 lead at the break. Rosecrans finished with three goals and two assists. It was her sixth 3+ goal effort of the season.

After Ryan Tierney put Siena up 9-6 just three minutes into the second half, UC Davis exploded for four straight goals in the next nine minutes to take a 10-9 lead with 11:26 remaining. But on the edge of the cliff, Siena stormed back with three goals to end the game as Andreo tied it and Caitlin Mikel scored the game winner. Andreo added some insurance with her fourth goal of the game with 2:22 left.

MAAC Rookie of the Week Kristin Concordia made eight saves in the win while Alyssa Cranska stopped eight in defeat.

Mikel had three goals and was 2-for-2 on free position shots. Siena dominated draw controls, winning 16 of 24.

Siena returns to action Wednesday in the team's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener when they host Marist at 4 p.m. The Red Foxes were picked second in the league's preseason poll.
