Siena ended their 2010 season Sunday, falling 5-1 at Quinnipiac. Junior Sarah Szewczyk provided the game's lone spark for the Saints, scoring her first goal of the year in the game's waning minutes.
In what was Senior Day for Quinnipiac's squad, the Bobcats (8-9, 4-3 NEC) outshot Siena (2-16, 0-7 NEC) 14-4 on the afternoon. Goals from MacKenzie Liptak and Kaitlyn Notarianni gave the home team a 2-0 advantage at the half.
Quinnipiac had a 5-0 advantage in the 62nd minute, when a pass from freshman Lindsay Mayo found Szewcyzk in the circle. The midfielder then fired it in to score Siena's first goal since their game against Saint Francis on October 17th.
In net, Beth Meyers concluded a solid freshman campaign with four saves on the day.
