Edwin Ubiles Named to Lou Henson All-America Team

2010 Lou Henson All America Team

Siena senior Edwin Ubiles has been honored as one of 30 members on the Lou Henson All-America Team. The team consists of the top-30 Mid-Major players as voted on by a 21-member committee consisting of media members and current and former coaches.

Ubiles and Rider senior Ryan Thompson were the only two MAAC players to make the list. Ubiles was a Second Team All-MAAC, and MAAC All-Tournament selection this season. Three of his teammates earned MAAC First Team recognition, along with Thompson and Fairfield's Anthony Johnson.

Ubiles recently finished one of the top careers in program history. He scored 1,939 points in his four years with the program, the third most in Siena history.

Ubiles also grabbed 560 rebounds, dished out 262 assists, had 157 steals and added 95 blocked shots. He shot 50% from the field for his career and averaged double figures in each of his four seasons, reaching double digits in 106 of the 131 games he played while scoring 20 points or more 32 times.

In 2009-10, Ubiles averaged 15.3 points per game and shot 40% from 3-point range. He sat out four games with various ailments.
